Full job description

Elder Care Homecare is seeking a highly capable, hands-on Vice President of Finance to serve as the senior-most financial leader in the organization. To support the growth of our finance staff and the company, we need additional systems, structure, and leadership for our next stage.

We are a rapidly scaling homecare organization with 12+ finance staff and 1,500+ employees across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts, entering a period of accelerated growth supported by an active M&A agenda. The ideal candidate has a Controller + FP&A hybrid background, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is equally comfortable building the finance function and owning core accounting and operational finance work.

This is a hybrid role, requiring on-site presence a few days per week, with the ability to travel between company locations as needed.

What You’ll Do

This role blends hands-on execution with function-building leadership:

Build the Finance Function

  • Build FP&A from scratch, including forecasting models, budgets, dashboards, and KPI reporting.
  • Stand up scalable financial systems, tooling, and reporting infrastructure that can support multi-state and multi-entity growth.
  • Establish financial controls, workflows, and processes that improve accuracy, speed, and visibility.

Own Core Financial Operations

  • Own the monthly close, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and reliable reporting.
  • Manage cash flow, treasury processes, revenue integrity, and margin visibility across service lines.
  • Oversee general accounting, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.

Support Growth & M&A

  • Support M&A financial modeling, valuation work, scenario analysis, diligence packets, financial summaries, and integration assessments for prospective acquisitions.
  • Lead post-acquisition integration into our finance department.

What You Bring

  • 10+ years of progressive finance or accounting experience.
  • Strong hybrid background across controllership (close, systems, accounting) and FP&A (forecasting, modeling, reporting).
  • Experience building finance infrastructure in a fast-growth or multi-location environment.
  • Hands-on, sleeves-up operating style, ability to both design and run the system.
  • CPA or public accounting experience is strongly preferred.
  • Experience supporting M&A modeling and financial diligence.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to partner closely with executives.

Compensation Summary

  • Salary: $170,000 – $200,000
  • Annual Discretionary Bonus
  • Participation in Long Term Incentive Plan
  • Health, Dental, Vision Insurance
  • 401(k) matching
  • PTO
