About Elder Care Homecare
Elder Care Homecare is a leading private-pay home care agency proudly serving clients across New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts, with ambitious plans for continued expansion. We specialize in delivering exceptional, personalized care by providing nurses and home health aides who help clients live safely, comfortably, and independently in their homes, assisted living communities, and other care settings.
Everything we do is guided by a simple belief: Together, we elevate care to meet the moment and deliver peace of mind. This commitment extends to our clients, their families, and every member of our team.
As we continue to grow, we are seeking talented professionals who are passionate about excellence, accountability, innovation, and making a meaningful impact every day.
The Opportunity
Elder Care Homecare is seeking a highly operational, hands-on Controller to join our growing leadership team. Reporting directly to the CFO, this individual will play a critical role in building the financial infrastructure, accounting discipline, and operational rigor necessary to support our continued growth.
This is not a traditional corporate Controller role. We are looking for a builder—someone who can roll up their sleeves, establish scalable processes, improve financial operations, and help position the organization for long-term growth. The ideal candidate combines strong accounting fundamentals with a proven ability to scale finance organizations, optimize systems, support acquisitions, and partner closely with executive leadership.
As Controller, you will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, driving operational improvements, and building a finance function capable of supporting a $200M+ organization.
This is a unique opportunity to:
- Help shape the financial future of a rapidly growing healthcare company
- Partner directly with executive leadership on strategic initiatives
- Build scalable processes and systems that support long-term growth
- Lead financial transformation, automation, and operational excellence initiatives
- Make a meaningful impact on a mission-driven organization serving seniors and their families
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting Discipline, Close Excellence & Internal Controls

- Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple entities
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and maintain audit-ready financial records
- Design, implement, and strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, and financial procedures
- Lead external audits and serve as the primary point of contact for auditors and advisors
- Drive continuous improvement in close efficiency, reporting quality, and financial transparency
Build & Scale the Finance Function
- Serve as a hands-on builder capable of creating scalable financial infrastructure in a high-growth environment
- Develop processes, workflows, controls, and reporting structures that support rapid organizational expansion
- Build systems and operating rhythms capable of supporting a business on a path toward $200M+ in revenue
- Identify operational bottlenecks and proactively implement solutions
- Balance strategic thinking with day-to-day execution and problem-solving
NetSuite Leadership & Process Improvement
- Serve as the organization's NetSuite subject matter expert
- Lead ERP optimization initiatives, workflow enhancements, reporting improvements, and system integrations
- Drive automation and process improvement initiatives across accounting and finance functions
- Improve visibility, efficiency, and scalability through technology-enabled solutions
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure data integrity and operational effectiveness
Operational Finance Partnership
- Partner closely with operations and executive leadership to drive business performance
- Translate financial information into actionable business insights and recommendations
- Support budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial planning activities

Private Equity Growth & M&A Support
- Support the financial requirements of a fast-growing, private equity-backed environment
- Assist with acquisition due diligence, integration efforts, and strategic growth initiatives
- Prepare financial analyses and reporting required by investors, lenders, and board stakeholders
- Help establish the financial foundation necessary to support future growth opportunities

- Lead, mentor, and develop a distributed accounting team across the U.S. and offshore locations
- Create a culture of ownership, accountability, continuous improvement, and operational excellence
- Establish clear performance expectations and measurable outcomes
- Build scalable training, documentation, and standard operating procedures

- Serve as a trusted business partner to the CFO and executive leadership team
- Communicate complex financial concepts clearly to both financial and non-financial stakeholders
- Present financial results, risks, opportunities, and recommendations with confidence and credibility
- Influence decision-making through strong analysis, sound judgment, and business insight
