Power Technologies is seeking an accomplished Business Development Manager with proven experience in selling manufacturing workflow optimization hardware, specifically Smart Locker solutions. This role is responsible for driving business development through end users, channel partners, managed service providers and system integrators across our entire product portfolio, with strong emphasis on Smart Lockers. You will leverage your existing network of contacts and industry expertise to accelerate pipeline growth and revenue in manufacturing and enterprise segments. Key Responsibilities:

  • Build a robust pipeline of qualified leads for our Smart Locker Product line and across our product portfolio through networking, cold outreach and industry events.

  • Proactively research and target new end user accounts and commercial verticals.

  • Develop sales strategy in collaboration with Chief Sales and Marketing Officer and execute these sales strategies across multiple channel partners.

  • Understand each target end-customer and channel partner’s operation, map their organization, and identify their unique needs.

  • Engage distributor and reseller commercial market field representatives, collaborating on sales efforts and partnerships with end-user accounts including uncovering new account opportunities.

  • Provide channel partners and end-customers with product education, resolve problems, build relationships, and develop referral networks to build the sales pipeline and close sales that meet or exceed established goals.

  • Ensure sales opportunities are effectively captured and closed within CRM, and accounts are managed in the best interest of the company.

  • Identify and implement ongoing sales and marketing plans to gain market share within strategic accounts.

  • Provide product demonstrations and presentations exhibiting knowledge of market specific features, benefits, and technical aspects of the full Power Technologies product line.

  • Set up and exhibit products at trade shows.

  • Provide weekly report of sales pipeline, forecast and activities within the CRM system including but not limited to sales driven activities and communication associated with channel partners and end users.

  • Conduct research on products, markets, technical information as requested.

  • Maintain awareness of competitor products and activity and provide accurate market intelligence.

  • Serve as eyes, ears, and voice of the customer back to Power Technologies team members.

  • Participate in and reinforce company culture consistent with company purpose and values.

  • Hold self-accountable to conduct business in a manner compliant with Power Technologies’ policies and procedures and internal controls applicable to your role.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • BS/BA degree or the equivalent in experience

  • 3+ Years specifically in the Manufacturing Segment optimizing workflow charging or storage solution

  • 5+ year s related sales or business development experience driving strategic account growth with demonstrated ability to navigate complex reseller organizations specifically within the commercial and/or industrial market segments selling mobile device management, IT Hardware or other capital equipment end-customer uses to accomplish their workflows.

  • 5+ years’ experience specifically in, manufacturing, industrial, segments is required.

  • Strong business development skillset is required.

  • Excellent consultative and competitive sales skills that leverage both strong process and relationship-driven techniques.

  • Ability to deliver results against sales targets, with a proven record.

  • Ability to articulate clearly and effectively in person, over the phone and in writing.

  • Proactive, highly organized and detail oriented with ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.

  • Ability to be an individual contributor supporting team goals.

  • Strong computer skills – specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • CRM experience required; NetSuite experience is a bonus.

  • Ability to travel up to 50% as required.

  • Ability to travel internationally.

  • Desire to work hard but have a good time doing it.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Proficient in English, Strong oral and written communication skills.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add, subtract and calculate basic prices and gross margins, markup, percentages, pricing models.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or verbal form.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES AND REGISTRATIONS

Valid driver’s license in good standing, vehicle insurance, valid passport

COMPUTER SKILLS

High level of proficiency in Microsoft office programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The employee may be required to assist in tradeshow booth setup and to move products and equipment.
